Explore the exposed natural landscape of Fairhead/Bhinn Mhór on this incredible walking tour. Following the vertical cliffs, some 200 meters above the Rathlin Sound offering some of the most stunning views on the North Coast. A panorama of over 220º from Kenbane Head in the west looking across our Rathlin Island to the Scottish isles of Islay, Jura, then the Scottish mainland of the Mull of Kintyre, Sanda & Ailsa Craig islands, then on round overlooking the curve of Murlough Bay to Torr Head to the south east.

Walk on rough terrain along the dramatic exposed headland, a Dolerite bulwalk with columns on a massive scale “…that makes the Giant’s Causeway look like a pixies staircase.” – Daniel O’Neill, Artist.

You are guided safely through this ancient and mystical landscape passing Lough Dubh and Lough na Cranagh hearing the history and stories to accompany them.

See the scored bedrock and marvel at the large boulders from Scotland that date from the ice age before looking down into the gorgeous Murlough Bay.

Flip, your local-guide, from an Environmental Science background, will chat about the natural history, wildlife and heritage that is on show throughout the tour.  He explains the landscape’s incredible formation at the area along with stories that bring the place to life.
